Stomach Viruses

Ok, I feel stupid asking this question anywhere else, so here it goes:

We have never had a stomach bug. My daughter is 3, and we’ve just gotten really lucky, I guess. My husband and I have both only ever gotten one a few times in our lives, and not since we were little kids.

So, my question is, what is it like to have a toddler with a stomach virus? Constant vomit? Constant crying? Is it traumatic for them? I’m so scared of her discomfort, and that I won’t know how to help her through it when she eventually gets one.
