I feel like we have nothing to talk about

Me and boyfriend of 7 months have been going through some rough times , we went to Hawaii as a baecation and didn’t go as plan . so we came back we ended just taking a break. We spoke about how ever since the break , things feel different in a positive way but like that was two weeks ago . He always switching up on me. We went to hotpot and tbh it seemed like we had nothing to talked about and he perfectly okay with it. It feels like this all the time. I always have a story about my day and he only response is “hm” “that’s cool” “that’s crazy” I’ve told him if he doesn’t want me around I’ll leave but he says this and that , that he loves me but he never shows it
