My doctor said it is but I’ve seen tons of other info since it is a category C drug. I took it during the first trimester and had some spotting while I used it so I’m apprehensive

Not sure why you trust a bunch of random people more than your Dr? It's safe as long as aren't chugging bottles a day. Follow the dosage and your Dr's advice :)

It’s common for women to spot slightly in the first trimester without taking any type of medication. It was probably a coincidence of timing it happened when you took Robitussin especially if your doctor has already cleared you to take it. I’ve used it both of my pregnancies and during my year pumping without any problems, it was on my approved medications list from my OB.

Its thins mucus. That includes cervical mucus, which often contains a little blood during pregnancy due to the changes in yiur uterus. Its normal.

Yes it is. Robitussin was one of the few things my doctors (i rotate between 5) said was fine during pregnancy.
