Tattoo???

Question

So, I'm 18 and I've been thinking of getting a tattoo for about 2-3 years now but my dad wouldn't let me before I was 18. My mom has always been on board, but that's not the point😂 should I get a tattoo? I need people who don't personally know me to weigh in lol. I know it hurts but I think I'll be fine, it more that I don't want to regret it later on! Please tell me pros and cons to getting a tattoo. Also these are some of the ones I've been thinking of getting. 😊 also where should I get it?

My mom was going to allow me to get a tattoo at 16 but I ended up never getting it. Looking back I’m grateful I didn’t get it because I would’ve regretted it. My first tattoo ended up being meaningful and some others I have too. Getting a tattoo doesn’t necessarily need to mean something either. My idea to you is pick a tattoo you really like, sit on that idea for about 4-6months and if you still truly like it go for it.

I have 4 tattoos and I only regret 1 of them because it was too spontaneous and not well thought out. I love them and plan to get more. People try to say you'll regret them later in life but I forget they are even there lol

I have 10.. I regret on for the same reason stated above.. not thought out well enough and was just spontaneous. All of my tattoos except that one have some kind of meaning to me.

I love my tattoo but I would put a lot of thought into what you want. Don't get something trendy, just because it's what's cool now. Get something meaningful to you :)

I have 6 so far. All of my tattoos have a meaning. They weren’t trendy they were for me. I also was a dumbass and got a dudes name tattooed on my body but don’t worry I found a funny cover up 😂. It’s your decision and your body so however you choose to decorate it is your choice, just never evvvvver get someone’s name on you fucking body. That’s dumb 😂😂 (unless it’s your kid) picture of the cover up because it’s hilarious

I have one tattoo and I don’t regret it since it has meaning to me. 
I got a rose, since I pray to St Theresa and the sign that she is with you is seeing a rose. Around it is a heart as the stem but with the thorns pointing in towards the rose and none on the outside. I did that since I have always kept my feelings inside and kept a smile on my face no matter what I was going through. 
I got mine a year after being raped. It was my way of putting it behind me and moving forward. My point of becoming strong and no longer letting him define who I was. I got it on my bikini line so only I could see it (and a future partner). I got it just for me so I didn’t want it to be visible to others. 
If you get a tattoo- make sure it means something to you and it’s in a spot you won’t regret. My husband got a ton of tattoos as a teen and since they are all over his arms he has to wear long sleeved shirts every day to work (outside in Florida heat). He definitely regrets his

I have 6 small tattoos. My first one I put the most thought into and that’s the one I like the least. My favorite is one I got on a total whim. Honestly they do not hurt that bad. I’m a total wimp when it comes to pain and needles. If you’ve ever had a bad sunburn and scratched it too hard or if you’ve ever gotten a bad cat scratch it’s kinda like that. Once it’s over the pain is pretty much done. It’s just a little tender and bruised for a couple days after. Obviously I wouldn’t go out and get something totally random. All of mine have some meaning to them. I’ve gotten a few of mine on trips I’ve been on. So they’re like little souvenirs. Eventually they become a part of you, they’re like scars you get to choose. Every scar has a story behind it, some bad some good.
