Too late to pierce ears?

I know this topic is usually “controversial”
But I was planning on getting my daughters ears pierced as a baby (like few months old) so that it’s less painful etc. 
things happened and it kept getting pushed off and here we are. I know it’s ideal for baby not to tug and play with earring so it doesn’t get infected. Would this be a bad time to get it done since she might pull at it/try to yank it out?
Did I wait too long? Anyone do it recently and baby handled it well?

why would it be "less painful" to do it to a baby? they feel the same pain as a child or an adult would. but I feel like if you did at this age, she'd mess with them and might pull on them and stuff since shes more active and aware now

Just got my daughter’s the other day. It was quick. She only cried for a minute.

We did it at 4.5 months and she was fine. She’s never messed with her earrings but I feel like if you did it now, she may mess with them? If you do decided to get her ears pierced I would recommend screw back earrings just so they’re not as easy to take off

We had our daughter’s ears pierced when she was a few months old.  Because of her skin tone, waiting until she was older risked keloids.  I would not do it now that our kids are active and won’t understand why they can’t pull on them.

I got my daughters ears pierced at 7 months old and we haven’t had any problems with them at all.

I did my daughters at 4 months and we haven’t had any issues but now that she’s almost a year, she’s discovered her ears and likes playing with her earrings. But my friend did her daughter’s at a year and she said she’s had no issues with it.
