You can't get pregnant after ovulation. The day of ovulation would be the absolute latest chance of getting pregnant. 
Once the egg is released it only hangs about for 8-24 hours but normally around the 12 hour mark is when it expires 😲 (no wonder there's only a 25% chance of getting pregnant each month even with correctly timed sex!) 
It also takes sperm around 6+ hours to reach the fallopian tubes, so having them  there waiting for the egg gives you the highest chance of conceiving. 
So having sex after ovulation isn't going to result in pregnancy.

You can only get pregnant from intercourse in the five days leading up to ovulation and (potentially) the day after, for a total of 6 fertile days per cycle.
Depending on your cervical fluid, sperm can only live in a woman’s reproductive tract for a maximum of 5 days, but will die off within hours in an infertile environment.
Once you ovulate, the egg usually lives for between 6-12 hours, but can potentially stay alive for up to 24 hours. If you happen to release multiple eggs during ovulation, it will happen within the same 24 hour period, which is why you should try the day after ovulation as well. 
Your best bet is to have sex on your peak day (the last day of your most fertile cervical fluid - this is sometimes the day of ovulation, sometimes a day or two before), the day of ovulation (if different than your peak day), and the day after.

I’m answering because I pressed the wrong answer! 
Before ovulation is optimal like a day or 2 before. If you BD on ovulation day your chances of conceiving halve. If you do it after the egg has probably already died. They only last 24 hours. Hope this helps
