Birth control & Weight
So recently I decided to stop my birth control. According to my healthcare provider I was on one of the best forms of the pill and they recommended that I stayed on it to ensure no pregnancies.
I really wanted to stop due to the symptoms I was having such as abdominal pain, bloating, muscle spasm, brain fog, etc. My dr told me that none of those symptoms were related to the pill. I also gained around 25-30 pounds and it felt like my weight was stuck and wouldn’t move which is weird because my weight use to fluctuate a lot.
I’m fine with using condoms, my partner and I would still use them while I was on the pill.
Anyways I decided to get off the pill and I’ve been off the pill for a week now. No abdominal pain, no brain fog, NO BLOATING, and I’m eating the same. Somehow I’ve lost 3 pounds already!!!
ALSO I realized that I’m not as hungry as I use to be. I can’t finish the same amount of food as I use to.
I’m prediabetic and I feel like dr.’s should warn you about the hungry symptom and gaining weight especially with my stance for diabetes. When I asked about my metabolism and weight gain they said that it was a myth and the pill does not do that.
Yet here I am...
Anyone have similar experiences? I feel like I’m going crazy and it’s all in my head 😂
