Working (and eating) while pregnant
Hi all!
I am 19w5d, and I just started a new job. It's just part time cashiering. However, my shifts are about 7 hours, and I believe I get one break in between? (Im very new, so I'm still in training and learning the ropes).
I was wondering how you working pregnant ladies prepare yourselves for the day, especially meal-wise. I need to eat a decent amount before I go into work bc I only get one break, which should be enough for now.
I just already have a hard time eating a lot in one sitting (besides a few exceptions), and my last shift I got very dizzy from standing and I needed to sit down and drink water ASAP.
Any suggestions on good nutritious meals beforehand to prepare me for the day and also good snacks to help me along. I definitely will have water with me at all times.
Also, since I was just hired, I haven't told.my employer that I'm pregnant. I can't wait much longer, but have read to wait til training and probation period is over- I can't wait for the probation period to be over. But any additional advice on telling them? I don't want to be let go. I really need to be working.
