Drained

Rachel

I know that being a mom takes a lot of effort and energy, but I am so physically drained. I kind of remember hitting a wall like this with my son and feeling like it had most to do with breastfeeding (and I think this because I’m so hungry all the time). Anyone else?

I had my second baby in November. I have a 3-year-old son, I’m a stay-at-home mom, exclusively breastfeeding. My baby is sleeping through the night and I’m not sleep deprived. I’m very active and always have been. I work out (primarily weight lifting) about 5 days per week and do a lot of outings like the zoo, park, beach, visiting friends and family. All of that could be draining to someone, but that is and always has been how I spend my time. I eat healthy meals and snacks. I drink lots of water. But I’m literally looking in the mirror right now and it looks like I haven’t slept in days and I can barely lift my arms to fold my laundry.

Anyway, can I get some solidarity in this?! Anyone else going through this? Lol. I breastfed my son until he was 21 months, so I know what I’m in for. I just need something to give me a little pick me up. Like a “you got this” or a really good recipe that preferably includes chocolate. 😁

Also, here are my babies simply because I think they’re so darn cute. ☺️
