Perm while pregnant?

Sorry if this seems like a silly question...is it safe to get a perm while pregnant? I know about hair dye but never really heard about perm solution and the rules with it when pregnant. Thanks!

My dr is okay with perms/dying hair once you get into the second trimester

How far along are you? I only ask because the smell of perm solution made me extremely nauseous in my first trimester. I would have died if it was on my head.

Girl I’m crying cause I need a damn perm too. I think I’m just gonna thug it out and keep braids until I give birth 😩😩🤦🏽‍♀️. 18+6 btw
