Prometrium question

So here’s the scenario... 42 y/o, TTC for 3 years, just got first BFP 2/14.

I was previously working with an RE and she prescribed prometrium (progesterone) to take each cycle after ovulation - stop taking if BFN, keep taking if BFP.

Relocated to a new state for work at the start of the year, and hadn’t yet lined up a new RE, or ObGyn. I set up an initial appt with a new Ob, but that is still 3 weeks out.

I don’t have enough prometrium to make it to that appt at the dosage that I’ve been taking it (200mg, 2/ day). I reached out to previous RE to see if she would give me one more month, but she said no because I haven’t seen her since October. New Ob won’t write a scrip because I haven’t seen her yet.

At this point I’m looking at trying to stretch what I’ve got left by taking it less frequently, but I’m so afraid that it will cause my progesterone levels to drop and result in an MC.

I don’t know that anyone here will have the magic answer, but this is just adding to the already overwhelming anxiety and fear of not making it out of the first trimester...
