Do you apply shampoo or conditioner first?

I would like to hear the reasoning behind using the conditioner first. As I see some people said yes. So why?

Conditioning before shampooing is like wiping your ass before you take a shit. 🤷‍♀️
Why anyone would do that doesn’t make sense. 
Shampoo 1st then conditioner 2nd.

Shampoo to cleanse, conditioner to moisturize. Same as washing my face and then applying lotion.

Shampoo first. Conditioner first makes no since. I don't like the 2 in one. My husband used to use it and his hair was always so dry and he had such bad dandruff. I finally convinced him to try using shampoo and conditioner separately and the dryness cleared up so fast. He has never gone back to the 2 in one since.

Shampoo strips all the oils out of your hair, that’s why you follow it up with conditioner. Using conditioner first makes absolutely no sense

I condition, shampoo, condition again. 
I don’t condition myself roots unless I am cowashing. I only wash my hair 1/2 times a week depending on how much I sweat.

Depends on the products im using/what I’m trying to achieve. If my hair needs a solid clean/moisturizing treatment I ’ll use a leave in conditioner for a few hours before my shower and then shampoo. I find if I use a heavier conditioner after it makes my hair too moisturized and it get greasy quick. If I get my hair colored I’ll usually do conditioner first for the first couple of washes after. Usually I’ll do shampoo and then conditioner for my basic showers.

I use them at the same time, I only use shampoo on my roots/top and conditioner on my ends

I apply conditioner first while my hair is dry because the hair is more absorbent, then I shampoo my roots after about ten minutes and rinse it all out
