I was sitting here thinking about a crazy “can’t believe it” incident in my life and I was like...I need to share this. Lol. When I was about 15, I was sort of a trouble maker. I ended up getting grounded and because of that, I stole my stepdads iPod touch out of his bathroom drawer to message my boyfriend. I tried to reset it and unfortunately, it had to now be connected to iTunes. There was no way I could pull that off so I chose to hide it in my 3 year old sister’s room to blame her for it. My first hiding spot was in a yellow bucket in her closet. I went back an hour later and moved it into a medium sized Tupperware container on the top shelf of her closet that had Barbie clothes and whatever else in it. Fast forward to later that night. I was caught of course. I lied and lied until my parents called the police and said that if I didn’t hand it over by midnight, I was going to jail. Of course that kicked my butt in gear and I went right into my sisters closet.

The box wasn’t there.

I walked into the formal dining room and there she was. Playing with the box and the contents. But not the iPod. I told my parents what I had done and explained that they had to of seen it when they took the box down. But...they didn’t take the box down. They assumed I did and of course I didn’t. There was ABSOLUTELY no way my little sister could’ve reached it even with the highest chair. Nor had she touched that box in forever. It was just shoved away. So shoved away that she couldn’t have even seen it to request it.

We looked for the iPod for years. Now I’m an adult and my parents stick to the same story, they swear I buried it or something. They don’t believe me even though I’m an adult and have nothing to lose. They swear they didn’t take the box down and that I hide it/got rid of it. It creeps me out to even think about it.

Also, to add: when we first moved into the house I had an iPod touch myself. I set it on the window sill before bed and when I woke up that next afternoon, it was gone. We looked for that one forever too and couldn’t ever find it.
