RSV and daycare

My poor little guy has RSV. We took him to the pediatrician (twice) who assured us baby is healthy and he just needs to work through this illness. He’s finally been fever free for over 24 hours but still has a terrible cough accompanied by a runny noise. If any of you mom’s had to deal with your little one having RSV, when did you send them back to daycare? I know the policy is no fever for 24 hours but I’m trying to imagine them taking care of him when he sounds like this.
