Coronavirus thoughts?

I’m just curious on your thoughts? I’m in the US and curious with the recent statement from the CDC if anyone on here will start to do things differently or just wait and see. Or just in general what are your thoughts on this topic?

More worried about the disruption to trades and goods since China is a huge supplier to USA/Canada. The disease it’s self is not great but we will see effects of not getting things we are used to much sooner then getting sick I think.

We havent gone anywhere unnecessary in the past month or so and she only goes to daycare. We were already worried about the flu and this just adds to it. Anyone whose been on a flight also isnt allowed to see her for 2 weeks. 
We went out and bought N95 masks since theyre selling out everywhere and I went to target to get a bunch of shelf stable and frozen foods. 
I would much rather be over prepared then be caught off guard. With how quickly things went from fine to lockdown in Italy I dont think waiting until something happens is smart. I also have 0 faith in the current administration to handle this properly.

I don’t normally worry much about this stuff but with a newborn coming so soon and a toddler at home I did stock the basement a bit with non-perishable foods. Not only will be be able to stay home if necessary but I was watching on the news about ppl panic buying in Italy and all over Asia. So I figure better safe then sorry! If we don’t need it and don’t eat it by the end of the year we’ll donate to the food bank at Christmas! Win/win right!

I’m honestly not too concerned.   I will only become concerned if it’s in my area and it gets bad bc I’m pregnant and my immune system is shit right now.

a school has closed 2 miles away. I have a 1 year old and 3 month old.
From what I’ve seen so far the likelihood of dying from it is only when you’re old or sick.

I was starting to panic because I was getting all my info from Twitter, which is a cesspool of hysteria and anxiety lol I’m going to just stick with certain news sources. That said it can’t hurt to prepare for it coming to your area.

I'm going to start making some purchases of water bottles and canned goods, rice and other things with a long shelf life. Probably stock up on dipars, wipes, toilet paper. I'm not panicking but want to be semi prepared just in case things go to hell.

More people die every year from the flu 🤷‍♀️
I'm not worried about it. If there are outbreaks nearby maybe spend more time at home or get some cool-looking medical masks, but at the moment, not worried at all.

My husband and I are not worried about the virus itself, even with a baby. Obviously, if we get it, will take it seriously. 
However, we did literally just get back from sticking up supplies from the store. Lots of stuff that we already use that has a long shelf life. We figured that if reps from the CDC are telling us it's not a matter of if or when, and to expect major disruptions.... It's better to be safe than sorry. If the best case scenario of nothing comes of the reports happens, we have minimal shopping to do for a while month lol

I’m doing a better job of washing my hands and trying not to touch my face as much, though failing on that front. I also stocked up on prenatals since I only had another 10 days worth left and checked how much pasta and beans we have.
