Mental Health - “Bordering borderline personality disorder”

ruth

Hi everyone!

This is my first post and I’m not really sure how to write this exactly or if anyone will actually read this but here it goes.

I have diagnosed treatment resistant depression, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and Hashimoto’s disease (autoimmune hypothyroidism). Yes, I go to therapy every week and am being supervised by the best psychiatrist I have ever had as well as a fantastic endocronologist.

Yesterday I went to see my psychiatrist for my monthly check in. We started talking about a new medication for my treatment resistant depression and as we were talking about it, my psychiatrist just very casually (and without any further explanation) said that my symptoms are “bordering borderline personality disorder”. I have absolute no idea what that means and I don’t know anything about borderline personality disorder other from the generic things what come up on google.

I’m not afraid or super concerned about being diagnosed with bpd, I’d just like to understand more of where my psychiatrist is coming from. I guess I’m posting because I’m just wondering if anyone had any resources they could share with me about borderline personality disorder in women that they could share with me or share their experiences with having bpd/having a loved one with bpd?

Honestly anything would be helpful, and my inbox is open is you’re not comfortable commenting on this post!

Thank you in advance for any advice you may have 💜
