How long does induction take?!

Just found out I have to get induced a few days after I turn 37 weeks.  What are the chances I give birth the same day I get induced?  This will be my second child.

Are you dilated at all?  If you have a good start, it should be the same day, depending what time they start the induction. -  for my second I was only 1-1.5cm and they started at 9:30am. I had her at 7:55pm that evening.

It took me less than 12 hours with my last baby. He was number 4. I’m hoping this one comes quick

I was induced with my second and was already at a 3 so they had me go in in the morning and she was here 5 hours later! My first labor was spontaneous and on the shorter side for a first labor at 10 hours. I’m being induced this time for concern that I could have a pretty speedy delivery since an induction and epidural are supposed to slow you down and my second came fairly quickly!

I went to be induced on a Sunday at 8pm and had my son on a Tuesday at 7am.

I started my induction at 2:30pm and had my twins just after midnight. I was 3cm dilated when we started and have two previous kids.
