So I went to my GP yesterday for illness that I thought might be the flu. Not the flu, thankfully, but a viral infection. Everything was fine at my appointment except my heart rate was super high while at rest (123bpm). Dr said to keep an eye on it and report to ER if I got chest pains. No chest pains, but I called my ob/gyn today because at rest, my heart rate is staying between 95 and 105. She’s sending me to a cardiologist just as a precaution. I know that heart rate increases while pregnant, but ugh...still worried. Anyone else experience this? I also get completely winded after walking up the stairs, and I have trouble making presentations at work because I get hyped up and then lose my breath! The joys of pregnancy...I don’t remember it being nearly this bad with my first!
