What do you do about bath poop? 🤮

So I know it's common for babies to poop in the bath, but my daughter has only ever done it twice. The first time she was like 3 months old? And I just scooped her out, and then the poop, and bathtime was over. 
This time it wasn't so scoopable... So I had to sponge off the baby as best I could, and wrangled her (naked and slippery) while I rinsed and drained the tub. So by the time I got her ready for bed she was cold and fussy, and thinking we were playing instead of winding down. 
Sidenote, my water heater only lasts until the bath is half full, so a fresh bath isn't in the cards for us.
I guess my question is for moms who have dealt with this more than I have. What is your bath poop contingency plan?

This keeps happening to us 😩 I put a large cup with a handle in the bathroom so I can try to scoop it out and put it in the toilet instead of down the bath drain. When it happens I grab him and put him in the sink so I can clean him off, then I put him down and try to drain the tub and get the poop out. After I get the baby to sleep I make sure the tub is drained, wipe it with Clorox wipes, then soak it with water and dawn soap so the bleach is gone. So. Many. Steps! Ugh

Hahaha my daughter pooped in the bathtub for the FIRST TIME EVER last week. It was actually so hard that she strained foreverrrr to get it out, so theoretically I could have taken her out of the tub before it came out, but I didn’t want it coming out in her towel rather than an easily cleaned bathtub. Basically as soon as the turd came out I scooped her out of the water and then dealt with it once she was in bed. 
If it had been diarrhea though....yikes...maybe a sink bath?? Wrap her in a towel you know might have to burn afterwards and then hose her down in the sink? That’s a tough situation, I’m sorry!

I drain the tub, clean the poop, and redraw the bath and continue bath time unless it happens well into bath time I would clean her up and dry her off, then clean the bath tub. 
It hasn't happened in so long though.
