How offten do you bathe your newborn?

I live in California & my son is now 2 months old but the weather here has been crazy,sometimes It’s super cold & sometimes it’s really hot, for the most part it has been really cold. Anyway ive been bathing my son 3x a week but I’ve found that he gets super congested & irritated because he can’t breathe it happens every time I bathe him..how often do you bathe your baby if your in cold weather?

As a newborn I tried to keep it no more than 2-3 times if you’re noticing it’s drying him out try doing 2 times a week and just wiping down his neck privates butt and face.

Once a week unless I have other reason to (blowout, etc). Newborns don't really get dirty, other than bedtime routine is why some people bathe their small babies so often.

My son is almost 11 weeks and we bathe him every night as part of his bed time routine. We massage him with lotion after with give him a bath to keep his skin soft and moisturized.

3 times a week. He had really dry skin around 1-2 months old so I only bath him every 3 days and I lotion him every day. He’s 3 months now and his skin is much better. I never did bath as part of his bedtime routine because it was too stimulating for him, so it was no issue that I don’t do it every day.

I live where it's cold and we bathe only twice a week or his skin gets dry, we've been doing this since he was born. At the beginning we didn't do lotion, but as he's gotten older I rub lotion on him as part of his bedtime routine and we use a cold mist humidifier in his room to help with dry skin as well. On days when he doesn't get a bath I just use wipes to make sure he's clean in diaper area, hands (because he wants to touch everything now), and his neck area where milk dribbles as he eats.
