Would you recommend getting the Flu Shot at 6month appointment?

Thought the baby was protected if the mom had received it. Is it really necessary to be giving it at this point? Or is it something to give at the end of the year (after Oct 2020) before flu season begins again.

My son had his 6 month appt in feb and we declined and our ped agreed as we are very low risk - I’m a sahm and my husband works from home

My son got it at 6 months. Our ped strongly advised us to have him get it. 56,000 people die from the flu each year, mainly the young and the elderly. If we can prevent it even the slightest, it’s worth it in my eyes.

Our clinic ran out, but our Dr definitely told us getting our daughter the flu shot would have been a good idea since we're still in peak flu season.

Even though we're home most of the time, I rather him have it & not have 'needed' it. Babies' immune systems are so weak- error on the side of caution IMO

We got it because my husband works in a steel yard and guys go to work sick all the time and my 3yr old brings home all the germs from playing with her cousins who are in school  on the weekend

We got ours I had the flu and it was horrible (last year) if she gets it it won’t be as bad hopefully but we’re having to go back March 3rd since they brake it down into two shots 🙁
