Can a 14 year old get an IUD?

So I'm 14 and sexually active. I instantly told my dad when I lost my virginity and he told me to start looking at different contraceptives because he's scheduling an appointment. I really want the IUD because you can just forget about it for like 3 years.

Yes you can get one. Most last at least 5 years. The American college of obstetricians and gynecologists actually says iuds and implants should be the first choice birth control for teens

Yeah you can. I had the implant at 13 which was the best choice for me personally because of how long it lasts when it expired I had another fitted because it worked that well for me
