So I had an attempted HSG test today. It was the worst pain I’ve ever experienced! I was in tears for 45 minutes while they tried multiple speculums, catheters, balloon catheters and finally something called a “leash” where they cannulated my cervix 😕. (Sorry for TMI!) After all that, they didn’t manage to get any images because my pelvic floor muscles pushed the catheter out every time they injected the dye. It was honestly horrendous.

Has anyone else has this experience? The nurse assured me that this has no bearing on me not being able to conceive but I can’t help but worry. I don’t really want to have a laparoscopy but I’m not sure what else they can do?? Would <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IUI</a> not work for me if they couldn’t even do a HSG? Any pearls of wisdom welcome!! Xx
