What age will you get your babies ears pierced?

For me it would be when they are old enough to care for their own ears and can ask. Any kind of body modification should be the individuals choice. A baby can't ask it give consent.  It does seem right to me to force that on someone, just because I think it's pretty or cute.  ear piercing is permanent, and it's not my ears.

I’ve gone back and forth with this and I think we’ll just wait till she’s old enough to care. Too much upkeep for a baby lol. Just my personal preference but I think they look cute too 😊

Probably a baby. My mom had mine done when I was a baby and they healed with no issues. I don’t hate her, I don’t think she abused me, and I am not psychologically damaged. 🙄

Personally, I think it's cruel. I've read on another thread today actually, the argument of, they cry for about a minute and then they forget... So it's fine.
To me, it's not a medical need, my son needed to have his tongue tie snipped at 5 weeks old and I was an absolute wreck, even though he stopped crying after a minute, I still would have rather he not have it done, but he had to in order to feed properly.
A baby having their ears pierced, pleases the parents, not the baby. The baby has no need for it, its a fashion accessory for when the kids are old enough to care about their appearance.
So if a parent chooses to pierce a baby's ears, they just need to know they're doing it for themselves, not the baby.
But 9/10, baby is absolutely fine and it never effects them, but it's the intentions behind it that I personally don't agree with.

I think baby girls are cute with their ears pierced but I probably won’t do it until my daughter can understand what happens when you pierce your ears. And can understand language so when I say to leave them alone to heal she will. I just don’t want her to be tugging on them or accidentally ripping one out of it’s bothering her one day

Also just want to add the up keep is super simple and easy! I just distract my little babe while i spray her ears and twist the earing to make sure its cleaned well :)

I got my baby girls ears pierced today, she is 7 months :)
I dont see it as an issue to be honest... if she decides she doesnt want it when she is older then she can remove it. Not going to cause a huge scar that will affect her in the long run :)
But each to their own, do what you feel is right :)
