Reactions to stopping birth control

Stephanie

I had my Mirena IUD removed in December, and ever since then I’ve been moodier and more irritable. I’ve gotten into arguments, which isn’t like me, and feeling angry about things that usually didn’t bother me. The most disturbing was last Thursday when I couldn’t stop crying at work, which REALLY isn’t like me, and had to leave the office abruptly so I could cry some more. I heard about the Mirena crash and the runaway emotions, which I can totally relate to. However my OBGYN says IUD removal has nothing to do with those symptoms. Has anyone else gone through this?
