My son is due Apr 18th, and his Father's bday is May 10th, the same day as Mother's Day (it will be my first Mother's Day). I dont know his father very well but I want to be that coparent that has baby get his father a gift for his birthday.. no matter if he is planning on getting me a mothers day gift or not. I'm trying not to expect anything from him.. so, going with the idea of having baby get him a bday gift, what type of gift should I get?

I've seen some gag gift for a dad's diaper changing thing (I have no idea if he will even use it considering he hasn't shown much evidence of stepping up). Or maybe just a onesie for baby that says something nice about dad? "My Dads a superhero" or something? I've never bought anything like that aimed toward me or his father. But considering I doubt the father will ever be around him long enough to change his outfit, he probably would never wear it cuz I'm not gonna put it on my son without his father there.. it's hard to decide what to spend money on that doesnt have the potential to go to waste but I'm really not sure how much the father is actually going to be around.
