How can I baby proof the railings at the top of my stairs?

I am working on baby proofing our place. The railings at the top of our stairs are too wide, and I’m wondering how other people have baby proofed too-wide railings. I have seen some products for this- anyone find one they like? Didn’t want to post in product recommendations in case someone has insight but doesn’t have a specific product in mind.

I used "safety stair netting" (there's a ton on Amazon, different sizes & colors). I'm including a screenshot of what I mean & how I used it on my stairs. It works great.

Could you try the mesh crib bumpers? Or a material similar?

You could attach something like this and set it up so that the gate is at the stairs opening

Can you use chicken wire? Wont be pretty but it should work

Maybe a pool noodle around every other (or every) spindle.
