2 or 3 year age gap for your kids - which do you prefer and why?

Curious to hear some pros and cons from others’ perspectives

I personally would want my body to fully heal from having a child. I do not want 2 kiddos in diapers at once. I want enough time with my kids. It also depends on how many kids I plan on having. My parents did a 5 year age gap for college purposes for my brother and myself. I just take much pride in my health and how my body looks/feels. 3 years is still a bit close for me but I also need to do a health check before we decide that.

My kids were pretty much 3 years. I felt it was a good gap. Older one was understanding enough to get the idea of mommy has a baby in her belly and brother coming. My 3 yr old is a super star sister and I think it’s luck but mostly her age gap.

There really are pros and cons to both. My mom had my sister and I less then two years apart. She said it was harder at first, but made things easier in the long run because we were able to entertain each other so early on and be friends through out our lives. and then having her third was the easiest yet when the two before him could entertain each other instead of needing as much of her attention. 
My first two are turning one and three this month. The down side is both in diapers (one half potty training), but I also can already see the upside in that brother number one already entertains brother number two enough that I can often get more things done then when I just had my first as a baby. I think everyone needs to think out the pros and cons and figure what benefits are most important to them personally.

3 years. Toddler is out of diapers but still young enough that they can play together and have similar interests. He’s also old enough to understand baby in the belly and not so old that he feels responsible for caring for baby. I was 8 when my mom had more kids and I hated it, feeling obligated to babysit all the time and change diapers when they didn’t feel like it.
