Do you rock baby back to sleep during the night?

My son is always awake after his night feeds. Do I rock him back to sleep or put him in his crib awake? It seems if I put him in his crib awake he just cries. Help!

I did with my oldest because that’s the only way she would go to sleep. I don’t with my youngest because she is fine going to sleep in her crib. I would just do whatever works for your child. Some people will say it’s a bad habit but I don’t believe that. All kids grow out of stuff like that eventually so why not do what makes them comfortable when they’re young?

When mine wakes up in the night, I put him on the breast for a snack and he falls back asleep in 5 minutes or less.

My son is 11 weeks and falls asleep at the boob, but i rock him a bit after burping and before i put him down because he stays asleep in the crib when there is a bit of a transition between one thing and the other.

How old? For my son I rocked him back o sleep tell he was 8 months I think.  
Your baby you know them best. No one knows them like you do and never could.  Do what works for you both.

My daughter just falls asleep on her own after her bottle I also use a pacifier it helps to settle her
