Anyone had an HSG?

Since I had two previous recent MMC, they wanted to run all these fertility tests which included the HSG. It was weird because my problem wasn’t getting pregnant, my problem was holding a healthy full term pregnancy. I just kept miscarrying by finding out my baby no longer had a heartbeat. It was so insane how long my baby stayed in me without a heartbeat...a whole two weeks! Anyways, long story short, I got it done to check for patency and check out my uterus. They recommend taking ibuprofen an hour before the procedure so the medication would kick in but I still felt pain when they injected the contrast dye. You’ll get to see the dye go through your tubes to uterus. Not gonna lie, it does hurt but only for a short while...intense period cramps during the contrast dye injection. Go home same day and I was able to work that day too! I had no pain or bleeding afterwards. Although it’s normal to have some bleeding. There are also many stories of people falling pregnant same month after the procedure which I did the same month but then again, I never had problems getting pregnant. I have kaiser insurance and I paid 325 bucks for it. I’m not sure if kaiser played a role in the payment but at least I felt at peace everything is fine on my end.

Painful? Yes, but you can do it. Take the Tylenol or whatever before you go. I forgot and regretted it. Helpful? Meh. Helpful in that it ruled out the possibility that I had blockages or a weird uterus, I guess. Still haven’t had a baby though so not really that helpful maybe? For me at least. Lol Plus mine cost me $2300. 🙄😓
