My daughter is 5.

She was sick ALL of October and after seeing multiple drs it was determined she started off with an ear infection, then an inner ear infection. For some reason the first drs I took her to didn’t catch this (even though my completely healthy 5 year old was falling apart not to mention she had went almost completely deaf)

Anyways. We finally got her better. Then, in January she got a double ear infection. (No symptoms this time other than her hearing loss returned)

We were referred to an ENT and given antibiotics.

The ENT can’t fit us in until April 😭

Sooo, Saturday she had been complying with her ears “bothering “ her but that’s it. Her hearing is also sucking. Then Saturday night she was asleep , wakes up out of a dead sleep screaming and grabbing her ear saying it hurts it hurts. I hugged her and talked to her and literally like 2 minutes later she laid back down and went back to sleep. She’s been fine then today woke up and I looked at her ear and there was dried up puss that I guess came out through the night.

My poor baby. I will be calling once again.

Is the only thing that can be done is repeating antibiotics until the ENT appointment?
