I have posted before about how my MIL became a hostess of one of my baby showers after there were already several ladies who were putting it on. I was worried/annoyed because she had ruined aspects of my bridal showers and our wedding to fit what she wanted. Well she’s done it again, not with 1 of them, but 2!

Yesterday my SIL sent me a draft of the invitation she is making for the shower my MIL is part of. I told her that the time was wrong, and the places they had listed that we registered weren’t quite right either. She said she just copied and pasted what our MIL sent her. She never asked me or my husband where we were registered, i guess she just assumed or made it up 🤷‍♀️. I checked with the main hostess, and she told me that the info I had for time was correct and that someone else was doing the invitations, so she wasn’t sure what was going on with any of that but would check in it.

Then I find out that the time of my baby shower at our church was changed as well. My MIL went and told the hostesses there that they should push it back 1 1/2 hours because it worked better! We NEVER said that, and it in fact does not. It now conflicts with the time my husband and I usually have our youth group meeting.

I am so furious with her! She does this with everything! She wants what is convenient for her and doesn’t care about anyone else!

My husband is planning to talk with her about it tomorrow when they see each other.

Update: I learned now that a few weeks ago she was asked to step down from the shower she was going to be part of. I’m not sure on the details of why, but it happened. So I’m not exactly sure what she was doing getting invitations with wrong info printed yesterday. Maybe she was trying to create another shower that she could be in charge of, but she didn’t tell us about it. But sending out the invitations then telling us we had to be there sounds just like something she would do.
