2 month shots?

My daughter is getting her first round of shots today and her father and I have no idea what to expect. I’ve heard it’s common for her to run a fever so we should pick up some infant Tylenol, but what else is common?

Mine slept from 7pm until 530am without eating, and then slept almost the entire day.

Fussiness, swelling, redness, crying, fever, sleeping maybe more than usual.
Yes be prepared with Tylenol, it helps with pain. I also gave her a bath to help with fever. She was fine though. She was extra fussy the next day.

Mine never got a fever, but he did take a bath during the middle of the day because he wouldn’t completely relax to go to sleep. He had elevated heart rate during the night but it never made it up to 180-200 so I just monitored it closely with his Owlet sock. He was back to normal 24 hours later.

My son got his shots today and his doctor suggested not to use Tylenol since a fever actually helps with their immunity response. She suggested a cool washcloth on the injection sights and on demand nursing.
Also if you do want to use medicine to help with pain I suggest ibuprofen if your baby is at least 12 lbs. It does not spike blood sugar like Tylenol.

Esther was really angry after, my husband calmed her down. She didn't want to nurse. She fell asleep in the car after and had 2 very good long naps that day
 Otherwise she didn't have any problems, I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. My husband held her little hands during the shots.

My baby didn’t have any fever and we didn’t have to give her any Tylenol. She slept a lot the night after her shots (9 hours in a row!) and then was a bit more fussy for a few days following. She was also going through leap 2 I think so that also contributed to the fussiness. She’s all back to normal now :)

My babe was a little fussy and tired afterward, but totally normal after about 24 hours. I'd recommend not using Tylenol. I nursed her while they did the shots and I think that helped - she screamed for like 30 seconds and then latched back on. I think it was harder for me than it was for her!
