If they're both sound of mind yes. And what I mean by that is I know too many women who were crazy and did some pretty weird/messed up crap to men, and vice versa, because they... for lack of a better word.. misinterpreted something the other did/said and then stuff happened. So if they're not total whackjob people then I'd say they can for sure be friends. But if the person is crazy/disrespectful of boundaries/ect I'd say definitely not. It all depends on the people. Some people should just not be friends.

I used to have an amazing guy best friend and never did hooking up with each other cross our mind. Our personalities just clicked and had an awesome friendship. Eventually I moved states and we grew apart. Just because your spouse has a best friend of the opposite sex doesn’t mean they’ll cheat.

They all know where they stand and know nothing will ever happen with ya and respect relationships that I am in. Always just been easier being friends with men. Less drama. Yes some are interested in me but know I’m never going there. Some are ex’s that were not toxic and we stayed friends. I’m honest and open with my guy. I tell him when guys hit on me. I have zero desire to be with anyone else and he knows that. It’s one thing to be a new woman that’s trying to move in on him. It’s another that’s been his friend a long time. It’s another if she’s the one that got away and hopes to be with her down deep.
