Hey y’all! So a little back story,

My daughter was born in August 2019- in Oct 2019 her father strangled me in front of my children, I pressed charges- currents an order of protection is still in place. I have full placement currently and fighting for full custody.

Well her last name has both mine and her “dads” he doesn’t help but pays girls for sex, oh and he didn’t do anything he was suppose to in order to get visitation🤦🏻‍♀️ Anyways he scared me into his last name put into her name, well around here it’s a name that doesn’t have good reputation. I want to change it so it is only my last name.

Has anyone gone through this? What steps do I have to take and what should I expect? He hasn’t fought for visitation or custody or anything- just gave me what I wanted- is that to my advantage?
