So, there’s a place my boyfriend and I have found relatively cheaply in a good location relative to our work/school/family situation. We want to tour the place and if we really like it consider signing a lease if the landlord likes us. Can we request that we wait to sign the lease if we are still saving money to pay the deposits and first and last? I’m asking because I have little experience with stuff like this and I imagine other people might have their own takes. I live in Massachusetts. I don’t know what the rules are. Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
