Our journey π¨βπ©βπ§
This is our story;
December 2nd, 2019 was closing in on us. My mother in law went with me to my last appointment for a NST.
I was showing contractions on the machine. But the doctors and nurses told us i wasnt having contractions. I was already dilated 1-2 cm 1 week before i believe, and 60% effaced. We sat there and talked about my induction that was set for December 3rd, 2019. Well later that evening my husband and i are settling in for bed, and yes of course we had sex one last time; or so we thought π€·π€£. But my husband straight faced afterwards and said "it feels weird in there; it just felt.. Different." I was very uncomfortable, stomach was tensing, i felt so much pressure. Didnt think nothing of it, due the doctor and nurses said i wasnt having contractions. Well im feeling uncomfortable but i fall asleep for maybe 2 hours. December 3rd,2019 day of induction comes around. Im sitting on the bed at 2am the morning of my induction swaying and rocking. My husband wakes up and asks if i need to go on the emergency room. I told him no, doctors said they wasnt contractions. π Well 4am rolls around were packing the car to get to the hospital by 5:30-5:45 am.
Get to the hospital; get all the paper work done. They get me set up on the machines and an iv. They tell me doc wont he in till round 9am-ish..
So we sit there. π My husband demonstrates birth for me, slightly inaccurate. π€£π
Doctor comes in and checks me. I have dilated to 4 cms and was completely effaced, i believe. He said there was no need for the first medicine that starts contractions and dilation since, well im half way there almost. So here comes the pitocin... Lemme tell ya. I wished i could have walked and moved around. They came in and upped it here and there. Well round like 6pm im at a 8on the pitocin drip. No pain meds. No sleep. My contractions wasnt easing and they wasnt giving me a break. I believe they looked 1 min apart. Nurse came in and checked me (only time i was checked since the doctor checked me that morning). Havent made much progress. The epidural lady comes in and talks with me. Im holding tears back from the pain. Clinching my teeth and fists. She explains shes doing her rounds, that i can get it now or wait. But she lives 30 mins away... She was watching me closely. Then shed look at the monitor. She told me honey you might as well get it since your contractions are that close... They let me pee first, it seemed like a gush. Probably my water breaking right? π€·π€¦
2 pokes and 30 mins later im feeling the best i ever felt. π€£ I couldnt move. ANYTHING. Had some visitors come and go. They come in, all i had was a sharp pinch in my right hip. Well beats all i ever seen, 11:30pm rolls around doc comes back.. Checks me. 10 cm! Ready to push. Their getting everything set up. Get me ready to go.
This is where it gets interesting;
Nurse is doing whatever she is doing down there; and she starts to crown... She tells me wait dont push no more hold her in! My husband said he seen the look on my face... Doc finishes putting his gloves on. Id say bout 10 mins till midnight. I get the go ahead and to push.
*shameful moment my husband laughs about; i shit. Nothing major.. It was small. π€·π*
But i finally push her out with my husband by my side. Nurse takes her; dont even let me hold or see her. Then he gets to hold her for like 30 mins while im stitched up.
Ending results; Montana Skye 7lbs 14 ozs 21 inches long born 12:09am on december 4th 2019.
And not long after everything is calmed down, this is what happens.. The nurse asked me if he was okay π€£ i said yeah, hes sleeping. π€¦π€£
They move us to a recovery room/postpartum room. He didnt like the uncomfortable chair so i told him to get up there with me.. Well i had to go change my pad and everything. Come back. He stole my bed. So i sit in the chair. π€£π€· But its fine. We both needed sleep.
Just a moment i caught of the most precious and valued and loved people in my life. π Daddy-daughter love. π€
And another pic of my husband sleeping.. π€£ But in the uncomfortable chair this time. π€·π€£

Now we have went through alot for first time parents, very high levels of yellow jaundice. Milk allergy and possibly a soy allergy in formulas. Very bad colic. Very bad reflux. And now possibly teething. π΄
Almost 3 months later and were still holding strong. Still dealing with colic, reflux, allergy and possibly the start of teething. But we got this.
This is Montana today March 3rd, 2020 almost 13 lbs and almost in 6-9 month clothes and 2 diapers. (Shes not a fat/chubby baby. Shes SUPER long doctor said). ππ¨βπ©βπ§
