Toddler bed rec?

Hate to admit this but my son has been sleeping in his pack n play his entire life and since he’s coming up on a year old we are moving him to a toddler bed/convertible crib. Totally clueless on what to look for, any recommendations for what has been working well for your littles are greatly appreciated!

Our toddler switched from pack n play to a toddler bed at 15 months, we just let him use the mattress on the floor for a week or two so he could get used to not falling off the bed, then we got a wood toddler bed with half length guard rails for him! He never had a problem, and is still in that bed at 2 years old now

Good gravy if I put my son on a mattress on the floor he’d be banging on the door to be let out lol. He moves way to much. Think I’ll wait to convert his crib to a toddler bed with rails when he’s like 18-24 months.

I got a floor bed. It’s been amazing and my daughter loves it. She’s gotten used to it and doesn’t crawl out at night

My daughter slept with us till 11 months but now she's in her own queen bed in her own room

My son sleeps in a pack and play as well. Don’t plan on moving him to a bed until around 2 years. We will be doing a Montessori floor bed once we transition him.

We can take the side off the crib that’s what we did with our first kid   She sleeps in a regular twin bed we bought from someone used when we needed the crib for the next baby. It actually has two different levels so I can have it closer to the floor now and raise it up when she gets older

We’re skipping a toddler bed. We put a full sized mattress on the floor. 🤷🏼‍♀️

My son still sleeps in his pack n play, too! We bought him a nice mattress and he sleeps 12-13 hours every night. We’ve been looking at toddler beds but not sure when to switch since the pack n play still works for him.
