If you’re a Christian, it’s important to listen to your personal convictions about this matter because the Bible doesn’t directly mention anything about this, whether it be good or bad. There’s been times when I felt no conviction not to and could masterbate freely without guilt, and there’s been times where I began to feel conviction not to, and in hindsight those were times I was using masterbation as a coping mechanism to put a bandaid on some stress and anxiety that I wasn’t giving over to God in prayer. I think the motive behind masterbating is more important to keep in check than masterbation itself.

Yes, nothing in the bible says anything is wrong with it. 
There's a verse about spilling seed being bad, for men, but it was only relevant at that time and for a certain race of people because they were trying to increase the numbers of "God's chosen people". It's certainly not a commandment, nor anything Jesus ever talked about. Not even Paul talked about it. 
I used to be religious. Sexual shaming isn't helpful or Christian imo. I think people have misinterpreted or misused the bible. It doesn't say masturbating is sinful.

I asked myself this question all the time when I first started having sexual feelings.
A few times I touched myself, and then would feel so guilty after.
I even used to stop before an orgasm because I was like trying to stay within the bounds of what's acceptable, and avoid sin.
I think I realised that as long as I'm honouring God, I can do what I want with my body. Sex isn't sinful. God made sex. There are I guess depending on who you ask sinful things in sex, like should only be in marriage etc, but that's a whole other topic.
It is your body. If you're not having sinful thoughts (like lusting over someone) and you're just pleasuring yourself, no I don't think it's sin.
Or if you're thinking about your spouse for example, not a sin. But if you were lusting over some porn star, that is probably not what God really intended it for. Self pleasure and spousal pleasure.
Just to clarify, that's what I think is probably theologically right, but that doesn't mean that's what all Christians or people do. But God loves us anyway. And also, only God knows your heart. Don't let other people tell you you're wrong. He knows you, and he's the only true judge.
