Traveling with male coworkers (from a straight female perspective)

E

I travel a lot for work. And in my line of work, all of my coworkers are male. I'm the only female at all meetings I go, all job sites, etc.

When at work I'm very professional, I don't do anything feminine, barely brush my hair lol let alone makeup or anything like that.

Well, getting to the point. When you travel with a coworker you spent a lot of time with that person. Around 10-12h a day with someone you sometimes are not comfortable with, or don't know well. It is more time than you'd spend with SO at any normal work day for example.

Very often after we finish work we go out for dinner and such. And more often than not, I have really good dinners and it feels like a really good first date! Which is so weird, because the feeling after is like, well, it wasn't a date, we work together, let's keep it work.

How would you handle that?

In my experience, I handle it poorly, end up developing crushes or admiration over their intelligence mixed with physical attraction. Of course I don't say/do anything, but it's just interesting analyzing how my brain works in those situations and I don't know many girls who work like that, maybe in this platform there will be more that can share their experiences!
