Can I get a medical abortion pill from my primary doctor?

I feel more comfortable with my primary doctor vs my obgyn. I’ve been meaning to switch, but I haven’t and I’d rather go to my doctor. I live in NY in the US. Just wondering if some people have gone to their primary vs their obgyn. Thanks!

No. Your doctor/insurance must refer you to planned parenthood, in order for you to receive a free or mostly covered abortion pill.

Some OBGYNS  do and some don't, I' don't think your Dr can either. I had to go to the clinic.

I’m not from the US so I could be totally wrong, but I think you have to go to a sexual health and/or abortion clinic.

Neither my primary or obgyn offer abortions without medical need so I had to go to a clinic that did.
