Do you let your baby cry it out ?

So I’ve never let my baby cry it out. I pick her up as soon as she starts crying. 
She’s been IMPOSSIBLE lately, only wants to be held. I don’t mind it, but she’s going to start daycare in a month. 
I’ve been letting her cry for 1 minute but it just gets louder by the second. It appears she will not stop crying until I pick her up. Idk what to do 😭

We are sleep training right now and have been letting her cry for 5 mins at a time before going in to check on her. The first night was the hardest and last a total of 20 minutes (we are also weaning night feeds so that made it worse). Then the next 4 nights have been pretty easy with very minimal crying.
I do not let her cry it out during the day.

Only for a little bit because sometimes she’ll settle back down, but it’s pretty obvious when she’s getting worked up and won’t settle so then I’ll go in

Only if I'm in the middle of doing something I can't stop & I know he's safe. Otherwise, I'll let him "fuss it out" but never "cry it out".

I don’t. I’d like to start trying too for sleep but my husband hates to hear him cry and will immediately get him lol I just try to take it as a compliment that baby loves us so much and wants to be with us😂

Yes, gradually. Around 3.5 months I started with a minute or two. Now we are up to 5-10 depending on how upset he is. Then I’ll go in and lay my hand on him and gently shush. If it’s bad I’ll pick him up and sing and rock. If he’s really upset I’ll nurse him. If he’s still fussy after that I take him out of bed and we stay up for another 20-30 minutes before trying again. Hes pretty good at falling asleep on his own.

My husband lets her cry, while being there to shush or lay a hand on her back. I can only do it for about 3 minutes before I give in...sometimes not even that long. Mine is so good at self-soothing that I feel if she’s crying, there’s typically a reason but every baby is different.
