Baby shower? Baby sprinkle?

I wanted to get other mums opinions on this. I'm pregnant with my second baby, I'm only 11 weeks so I'm thinking a little far ahead. With my first baby (she'll be 20 months when our next baby arrives) I had a baby shower. I loved having my friends and family together but my husband and I got married two weeks after so some family and friends only travelled down for the wedding. 
Some of those friends and family I haven't seen since the baby shower/wedding. We really don't need another baby shower, since our babies will be so close in age everything we have is still in good condition. But I'd like to maybe throw a "Baby sprinkle" party. From what I've heard it's basically a low key baby shower where gifts aren't asked for/expected. 
Would it be tacky to have another party? I'd love to see everyone again and they'd be able to meet my daughter but where I'm from people really don't have parties for the second, third etc child.

Is the only “one baby shower” and nothing else for the other babies or a “baby sprinkle” only done in certain cultures? I’m just wondering because where I’m from all babies are celebrated whether it’s your first or third and no one complains about it. I just find it odd every time I read about how the 2nd, 3rd etc child don’t get baby showers like the first. I feel like all babies deserve to be celebrated in a special way and if anyone has a problem with it then don’t go? Idk that’s just me.

I think everyone should be able to celebrate every baby regardless of genitals or age gap if they want to. Just don’t invite anyone that would think it’s tacky.

Gifts are still expected at sprinkles. It’s just more often smaller gifts.
If anything, I’d personally consider something after the baby arrives. If you want to celebrate the baby, and visit with family they’d probably be more inclined to come when they can meet both of your children.

I plan to have one.  Like you said,  just to celebrate the coming baby.  This is also our rainbow baby and planning on being our last, so I'm really embracing every second of this journey

How to sprinkle gifts are expected like people are saying, it's just that you are not looking for big expensive items such as strollers, baby swings, excetera, because the understanding is that you already have those things from the first baby. Sprinkles are called sprinkles because it's usually ends up being a smaller amount of gifts. Diapers, baby clothes if it's a different gender, some ways, Etc.
Some people hold a baby meet and greet some weeks after they're born. My friend had to be rushed to the emergency room, and have her baby early the day before her shower. People all sent the gifts they were going to bring to her house so she had them all. But she still wanted to celebrate the baby so she had the meet and greet party maybe a month after the baby was born. It was really nice. It was a nice lunch, co-ed, cake and ice cream and drinks served... And we got to meet the baby. A few people still brought gifts anyway, even though they weren't asked for, and it was very nice

I think having a party to celebrate each baby and having a shower are very different, but the way I grew up, you don’t have full-blown showers for each baby. You have a Sip-n-See after the baby is born, or a Diaper Party (which is where people bring diapers, wipes, baby soap, just things that you’ll need to buy along the way), or a Sprinkle, or Gender Reveal. Everyone I know still makes a registry in case people ask, but with the second and more babies the celebration is usually less focused on presents and more focused on the upcoming baby. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Idk if any of that makes sense. It’s been a long day and my pregnancy brain is in full swing! 😂 
For my first, we had a shower. Of my husband’s family, mine, and all of our friends, only 9 people came (2 were the hosts). It was really disappointing. Not because of the presents, because we went and bought everything we needed shortly after, but because it felt like no one wanted to celebrate our baby. We both have decent sized families, so most of the people we invited were family. Only my mom and sisters came from my family (my sisters were the hosts) and the rest were friends. It was really sad. Hoping that the festivities with our new bundle will be better. I can’t take another party like that. Talk about depressing. 😩🤷🏼‍♀️❤️
