What do you do to get out

We live in the midwest and about 30 minutes away from our friends and families. We have had cabin fever pretty good. I have a really good routine now and am trying to get my 9 month out as much as possible to be active and to be social. This week he has had lunch with his grandma, toddler swim and play with a friend of mine, a playdate with another family, and he is scheduled for a reading time at a library. I also have been incorporating more sensory play every day such as painting and walking on bubble wrap. I am curious what other moms do on a budget to get out in the winter and to keep busy hands occupied and little minds growing?

Pinterest is amazing, I was a teacher so I just feel I should probably teach my own child. No competition with other mom's. I just know my son is happy and I am happy when we break up the routine in our lives and explores. He is sick so tomorrow there is no library story time and we will watch nature shows and cuddle. Best wishes.

We've been having cabin fever HARD. I cannot wait for spring so we can get outside. One of the things we do when we need to get out is just mall walk. Get a coffee and walk around the mall with baby in her stroller. She likes to see all the people and look at book and toy stores.

You are providing lots of interesting things. We used too and still do a lot of the following athough not all at one stage. Visiting/helping older neighbours, do playdough(nowadays clay as they are bigger) storytelling, mega blocks(now lego) , build dens, forest walks, paint, potato print etc, swimming, play park, cooking, music, invite friends over, soft play(occasionally as expensive) , trampoline (at granny's), library, activity groups (sports, swimming lessons, ice skate etc), Bible club, Also science club, sports day and book club(set up with friends not official clubs), poetry tea time (with small kids it's a teddy tea party and we sometimes invite cousins or friends) , cycle (while a baby use a trailer) but get him a scoot bike perhaps, rollar skating/scooters (when a bit older).

Love the trampoline and push bikes, he definitely needs more cousin play time soon, and we also just enrolled him in swimming lol, love the idea of science club when he gets older!
