NT scan

I had my NT scan at 12w1d and was told that everything looked good. However, I got a notification for MyChart that the doctor who reviewed the scan said that “obesity affecting pregnancy in first trimester” and “uterine size discrepancy in first trimester.” Yes, my BMI is high but I’m a very healthy and active person and my doctor has not once mentioned my weight. Has anyone heard something similar from their NT scans? Any idea what it means? I’ll be following up at my next doctor appointment but of course would love to hear people’s stories/experiences.

Yep- mine was similar. Delivered a healthy little girl on Feb 20- make sure to get your questions answered throughout. There are no dumb questions- congratulations on your little one!

Yep they constantly said they couldn’t see baby clearly because of my weight but when I was having the scan they told me my bladder was to full. Unfortunately I’ve had it all throughout my pregnancy I’ve kind of got used to it

That’s such bullshit and a double-edged sword! I’m sorry.

Obesity being a risk was always on my paperwork and in my file. It’s just common practice. The size discrepancy is something I would definitely ask about though.

Ugh. Really annoying thing to get used to. I asked about that size discrepancy note and it was based on my last period. But I have PCOS, so my cycle is wildly unreliable. Everything is exactly as it should be for how far along I am, which we based on size and conception. Thanks!
