Everyone I know says it like car-mul There’s really not a right or wrong way to say it. It just depends on where you’re from🤷🏻♀️

We have a town in my state that is Carmel. It is pronounced the way it's spelled - Car - mul. Therefore, caramel is also pronounced the way it is spelled - car - a - mel
