What thermometer did you buy for baby?

I've got a few things left to buy and a thermometer is on the list!

I don’t know if it’s user error but I have an exergen temporal thermometer and it never seems to get an accurate read. I have to take my temperature (that will read anywhere from 97.1-98.9, but usually 97.something) and then take my sons temperature and do the math: I’m looking to get a new one. I love the ease of a temporal thermometer, just not this specific one. Personal experience- thought I’d share.

Our hospital gives us a thermometer. It’s just a regular thermometer bc you take baby’s temp under the armpit. I would just recommend one that’s less than 60 seconds. 60 secs is longer than think with a squirmy baby lol. 
You’ll be doing armpit temps for at least the first 3 years. My daughter is almost 3 and may be able to do under tongue if she cooperates. The dr will always do an armpit temp.
