Do genetics determine the size of your baby bump?

I’m sorry if this is a dumb question, but I’m genuinely curious. 
My mom tells me that when she was pregnant with my siblings and I, she barely showed because we were positioned more towards her back. I was 6lbs 7oz when I was born. My hubby was 7lbs. Is it possible that I won’t show as much, just like my mom? 
Any personal experiences are greatly appreciated.

Lol no. You could argue since genetics plays a role in how your body is built it can determine how you’ll gain the weight etc, but what will determine your “bump size” will be basically how much you gain, where you carry it, where baby is located, and how big baby is. Hope this helps!

It can play a part but it can also not happen. Like I have 5 sisters and some pregnancies where exactly like my mum's bit others weren't. It's Russian roulette. Also depends on your body.
