If they ask for it why not ? Like if y’all are shopping and the person says “I want to try keto or a vegan diet” then I don’t think it’s bad. But if said person didn’t say anything about a diet then yes I think it’s rude.

Depends. If they know they're actively trying to lose weight and are close to them, then it may be okay. Otherwise it seems a bit rude
