Is it acceptable to keep myself off work for a uti?

Basically 2 weeks ago I ended up in A&E because of a sudden onset of pain, I couldn’t walk, I couldn’t catch my breath and it was agony. They decided it was a UTI due to my wee sample and gave me antibiotics and pain relief. Once my course of antibiotics had ended I was still struggling, horrible cramping and feeling uncomfortable and in pain and I also now have thrush. Went back to the doctors, they took another wee sample and it came back extremely high in white blood cells and blood in the urine. My wee was sent off to the hospital for analysis and I was told to come back today. I’ve just been back today and my results from the hospital came back fine which contradicts the results of the dip sticks. They took another sample and it came up high again in everything and he felt my stomach and back and my kidneys are enlarged and my stomach tender. He said to rest and stay off work and if the pain worsen to go back to the hospital.

I just can’t deal with this. ??????
